Pondok Pesantren Tahfizhul Qur’an (PPTQ) Ibrahim is a Qur’an memorization boarding school under the Ibrahim La Useng Foundation, located on Jl. Poros Parepare – Rappang KM 11, Uluale, Watang Pulu District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was founded by Muh. Ikhsan and is officially registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia under Pesantren Statistical Number (NSP) 500373140011.

At PPTQ Ibrahim, students live on campus and spend their days with the Qur’an: memorizing, reviewing, understanding, and striving to practice it. At the same time, they attend MTs Ibrahim (junior high) and MA Ibrahim (senior high) on the same campus, so the memorization program and school subjects move in harmony. For young children, the foundation also runs RA Ibrahim (kindergarten).

Tahfizh Program

• Three halaqah sessions a day — after Fajr, Asr, and Isha prayers, in small groups guided by mentors (musyrif).
• Daily progress records (mutaba’ah) — every recitation of new memorization (ziyadah), linking (rabth), repetition (tikrar), and review (muroja’ah) is recorded, so each student’s progress is measurable.
• Single-sitting tasmi’ exams — at every 10-juz milestone, students recite their memorization before the Board of Experts.
• Per-juz certificates and mutqin badges — awarded to students who pass with fluent, well-preserved recitation.

Boarding Life

The five daily congregational prayers, good manners, cleanliness, and independence are part of everyday life. Separate dormitories for boys and girls are supervised by male and female mentors. Students’ health is looked after by the school clinic, while talents and leadership grow through extracurricular activities such as tahsin and qira’ah, public speaking, scouting, sports, arts, and martial arts.

Memorization, halaqah and prayer attendance, discipline, health, and payments are all recorded in SIPANDAI, the pesantren’s information system, which parents can access through the parent portal. Home and pesantren can thus work together in guiding each child.

Mission

1. Run a measurable and continuous Qur’an memorization program that safeguards the quality of recitation (tahsin) and memorization (itqan).
2. Instill sound belief, orderly worship, and Islamic manners through role models and daily habits in boarding life.
3. Integrate pesantren education with quality madrasah education so that students excel in both religious and general knowledge.
4. Build students’ independence, discipline, leadership, and social care.
5. Foster close cooperation between the pesantren, parents, and the community, supported by information technology.
